Have you read this series? I heard it was good.

I read them when I was younger and now my siblings read them. It is an excellent series with lots of good moral lessons. You can also get the audio from Moody I think it is. They did a bunch of them where the characters are played by different people. Not sure how the movies are but the books were great. 

They are excellent especially for younger boys.  I have read some of them & enjoyed them as a kid.  :-)
