You'll fall in love with the main character, Dove, a twelve-year-old girl who is resilient, strong, and tough but also endearing. She is thrust into a number of hard situations but tackles them all with her own inner strength. Wonderful story line and great characters.

I love Trobaugh's writing style. Get your cup of coffee, put your feet up and enjoy this book. The story is not earth shaking, it won't keep you up at night, but it will take you away for awhile. A bit of an insight into how we treat each other, but not preachy.

A touching book about how the people that have the least give the most and love has the greatest value. I highly recommend it.
