I wish I had enjoyed this book more than 3 stars because it has a lot of likable elements. There's a meddling granny, cute dogs, reconnecting sisters, a grumpy teen, a wounded hero, and a heroine looking for a fresh start. Combined with blurbs from Shalvis and Krentz on the cover, I thought it would be great! Instead, it was fine but not one for the keeper shelf. I never really connected with the lead characters.
