I loved this and all of the other books in the series (four in all). Rachel Gibson's book are easy to read and hard to put down. You are going to fall in love with Maddie and her best friends. This book is actually #3 in the series.
1. Sex, Lies, and Online Dating (Lucy's Story)
2. I'm in no Mood for Love (Clare's Story)
3. Tangled up in You (Maddie's Story)
4. Not Another Bad Date (Adele's Story)

The girls are all best friends who are all writers in different genres. The most clever thing is the genre that each writes in somehow play a part in their individual stories.

I really enjoyed this book! I started reading Rachel Gibson just about a year ago and I still haven't read all of her books. It was a great story and I didn't feel that the characters emotions were too over the top; they were very relatable. She also uses many references that make you feel like it's happening in the here and now; like maybe a song that you would literally hear on the radio, if you listened to country music anyway. And I have to say it, the sex scenes were awesome! At one point I was like "Go head girl!!!" Usually women aren't portrayed as strongly as Maddie was.

Loved it!!!

Maddie Dupree goes to Truly, ID to find the real story of what happened in her mother's death. The only thing blocking her way is Mick Hennessey. When Mick finds out why Maddie is really in Truly, will he stick around??

This was an ok book. I've read all of Gibson's book and this one seems to be written in a hurry. I came across a few grammatical mistakes and one Chevy Maverick (Ford made the Maverick). Possible the editor was having an off day too! It was a quick read with a steamy hero.

Oh wow! Gibson's best book yet! Series from Clare's wild book. Maddy goes to Truly to find a bit more than her story.

This was my least favorite out of the Writer Friends series. I just could not get into it...I'm not sure if it was the main character or the story line or what, but I had a hard time getting through it. I loved all the other books though!

I really think this is the best book out of the four in the series. Given there are a few grammatical errors but I find them a lot in Gibson's books. I think she just needs to get a better editor.

The story was intriguing to me. Basically Maddie Dupree returns to the town where her mother was killed by the angry wife of the man she was having an affair with. Maddie's plan was to write a true crime book about it. But things get complicated because Maddie starts having an affair with the son of killer wife and cheating husband.

There were some touching moments and Gibson gave a great view of how the three children orphaned by the tragedy dealt with life. But there were also a lot of humor and witty banter between Maddie and Mick. Even though I really enjoy most of Gibson's books, I think dialogue is where she is usually the weakest. This book has some great dialogue.

This is a great, quick book and fun to read.

Very good story. Love this author. Her stories always keep you buried in story to very end.
