I just picked up "A Thousand Bones" by Parrish and two "Murder Can" books by Eichler. Of course they are the most recent ones in series!! Ugg... So...

A. Is it worth it to read the entire series?

B. Are either of them stand alones?

I've read Island of Bones and An Unquiet Grave.  I enjoyed them both.

I've read several of the Murder Can books, in no particular order, and I enjoyed them just fine.

I like the Murder Can series because I am an armchair traveler and like the Manhattan setting.  I also like Desiree Shapiro's attitude toward her weight and her independence.

I'm getting worried as there's no forthcoming Desiree book in sight!

i loved A Thousand Bones---it was my first PJ Parrish book.  IMO, I believe the PJ Parrish books can stand alone; I had no trouble reading ATB.

I have read the P J Parrish books who by the way are 2 sisters who don't live near each other who write together & create good reading. There was only 1 book in the series i didn't care for. But the rest are fantastic. They can stand alone or you can follow Kincaid on his travels & what happens in the areas & why he has to move on. Very good series.
