I really enjoyed this book. I became completely involved in the story because it felt like hearing from a good friend as she experiences a major change in her life. The Christian aspects are naturally a component of the characters and don't feel forced, obvious or preachy. If you need to have a car chase, murder or natural disaster to enjoy a book, this isn't the one for you.
Take a trip with a widow who's fighting depression & watch as the Lord uses the trip, the various people she meets & especially her husband's Bible to bring life back to her & to restore to her the joy of her salvation. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The reader is brought into the main character's emotions & I found the beginning dealing with depression quite difficult to get through but as I read, like the character, my spirit was lifted along with hers. This is the 2nd Jackina Stark book I have read & both have been excellent. She is new to writing Christian novels but is an excellent writer & I look forward to reading her next book when it comes out.
