I've read a number of Sanders's mysteries and found this one particularly engaging, especially for the well-wrought character studies and the fact that he tied all the loose ends together in the final scenes. His books make for enjoyable, light entertainment. This one kept me guessing about how the protagonist would succeed, as he was bound to do, until the end. The plot device of using a young investigator, new to the profession yet diligent in his pursuit of the culprits, gave the story line added dimension..
