I enjoyed this first mystery series book and have the next 5 next to my bed and can't wait to read them. I really like good clean mystery books.

In A Time to Protect, we meet the Montgomery and Vance families or Colorado Springs, CO. Close friends whose families have been knit together for generations. Mayor Maxwell Vance is the victim of an assassination attempt. FBI agent Brendan Montgomery, the Mayor's close friend, rushes to the hospital to help with the investigation. While there he encounters single mom and nurse, Chloe Tanner. Chloe just wants to do her job. Unfortunately, doing it lands her right in the middle of the case. Chloe foils a second attempt on the mayors life and becomes a target in the process. Assigned to protect her and her children, Brendan finds himself somewhere he never planned to be.. in the midst of a family. Pressures rise as more attempts are made on Chloe and her children. The danger is rising and so are emotions as both Brendan and Chloe fight was they are feeling for each other.
