I liked this book, but I think the second in the series ("Tempt Me") is more entertaining. It seemed to me that it was a little too easy to get Thea into bed (even given her nonconformist persona). This left not much buildup as far as their relationship went. Basic plotline was OK, and the book was still entertaining. A nice, light read to fit between some of that other heavier stuff I've been reading! :)

I was disappointed in this book! I love Lucy Monroe but the historical really didn't do it for me. Her contemporary books are MUCH better.

Good Book - Not quite as "torrid" as I expected - but Lucy Monroe writes an excellent story, no matter what.

Not bad, but I wanted to like this more.I never felt the "heat" between the hero and heroine.

Not one of my favorites of hers.

Just got this book and read in one day. I love Lucy Monroe's books. I had already read Tempt Me and Take Me, books 2 and 3 involving this family and fell in love with all of them. If you love historical romances with a touch of mystery and intrigue you will enjoy these three books. I highly recommend it.
I read the two books after this first. I thought this book was a lot of fun. I loved Thea and Drake together. All the characters were great and easy to love. There was a slight bit of intrigue with the thief that kept things interesting. Although I thought the ending dialogue was a little too sugary.
Great, easy read.
