A story of love, art, money, and the need for all three. Set in 1937, when the Depression had beaten everyone down and WWII was far enough away on the horizon not to be of concern. A man is hired to paint a mural at a Post Office, part of the WPA efforts, and a woman who doesn't know where she stands in life. Well told.
