I found this to be a beautiful book. As Diana Abu-Jaber, author of Crescent, says on the back cover, "Sami Michael has written an inspiring, insightful novel that dismantles long-standing cliches about the separation of Arabs and Israelis. Set in the months preceeding the 1982 Israeli-Arab conflict in Lebanon, this book tells the story of two Christian Arab sisters who live in the Jewish city of Haifa. A good read that is as relevant today as it was 22 years ago.
