FOR MISS MARPLE FANS. The Tuesday Club is formed when Raymond West, a young writer, is entertaining friends and they decide that each should tell a story of a mystery, without revealing the answer, so that the others can try to guess the outcome. It is felt that with their combined skills and variety of individual experience, they will be able to solve the problems presented. Raymond's contribution is his rich writer's imagination, while Joyce sees things through the eyes of a woman as well as an artist. Dr. Pender, the clergyman, claims to know the hidden side of human character. Mr. Petherick, a lawyer, is only interested in the logical approach to the mysteries, whereas Sir Henry, ex-commissioner of Scotland Yard, is obviously skilled at crime-solving generally. And then there is Raymond's Aunt Jane--a gentle lady with snowy hair and pale blue eyes, Miss Marple joins in to make the sixth member of the Club. This abridged version contains 5 stories posing widely ranging problems for the Tuesday Club.
