This book was done up rather well and includes a ton of pictures and information about the movie. Like how many shots it took to get Edward holding the apple so it looked like the cover of Twilight (13 times). Just a wonderful book to read about how difficult it was to shoot Twilight on such a small budget and how much time and effort it really took. Plus all of the story board drawings and outfit drawings are awesome to see. Again a must have for a Twilight fan!

The Director's Notebook shows fans of the Twilight movie everything that went into making the film.

The guide includes a lot of great photos of the director, Catherine Hardwicke, and all the equipment and personal items she used in filming; images of Forks and beautiful pictures of the forests and water there; shots of the cast in action; sketches and designs for clothing and characters; and great drawings Hardwicke drew to create scenes for filming.

This is a perfect book for any die-hard Twilight fan. Some of the book's content was a little unnecessary - like the page about what Hardwicke kept in her bag during filming - but it's very colorful, creative and worth the money.

4/5 stars.

Twilight is often proclaimed the "best" of the twilight films. I think it is because of Catherine Hardwicke. She put together this movie with heart, it wasn't just a paycheck for her. She writes how she was as heavily influenced by the music that influenced Stephanie Meyer. She let the actors act and sing and become a real part of this beautiful movie. Subtle things, such as Bellas wardrobe changes are written about. And of course LOTS OF PHOTOS!!!!
Great keepsake!

The story of how they made the movie is offered in detail through hundreds of photographs with explanatory captions. This is a well made book printed on heavy paper.
