Does anyone know if there is a way to block a member form requesting any of my books?

Thank you!

No there isn't...because PBS works primarily on FIFO--first in, first out. So if someone requests a book, you would need to accept the order and then look at who is requesting by hitting the PM button and if it's someone you don't want to trade with, cancel the order. Keep in mind though, that this will remove the book from your bookshelf and when you repost it, that book would go to the back of the FIFO line.

The likelyhood of you getting that person again through FIFO is pretty slim unless you only trade really rare (to PBS) books.

But no there is no way to block someone from ordering from you again.  As far as a bad sender goes: you can put their name on a post it by your computer. Then when you're ordering a book, hit the Order More From Member button and see if it's them or not.  But you wouldn't know if it was them for a WL book until you accepted. THen if you cancelled you would lose your place in FIFO.

But really the chances of encountering them again is pretty slim.

The chances are slim but it does happen.  I've sent books to 2 members twice.  Months apart.  I found it to be weird in a way since there are so many members and my books are mainly sci/fi and fantasy.  That's a huge genre interest.  So I wish I had that "luck" when I buy lottery tickets!

It may be slim, but this year alone I have gotten at least 7 wish list books from the same person.  And it was definitely through FIFO.

Janelle, were they all the same series by any chance? That is the only time that has happened to me.

roxanne, that's a good question.  i was wondering about that myself.  maybe you can suggest it to the site as a feature to add.

Nope. None of them were part of a series. I was #1 on the WL from the moment I added it. This member posts a lot of YA books. I always get a little excited when I see the book is from her, as I know they will always arrive quickly and in excellent condition.
