I enjoyed the story and am anxious to get the rest of the series. The beginning and the end was a page turner, with a slower pace in the the middle. They were strong women in those days!

The best of the series. This is the beginning, it is beautifully written, very descriptive, happy, sad; a tale of innocence, sorrow, and redemption.
