The stories in the V-Series books are disturbing to say the least. Each book has a lead character that has been treated with cruelty in their youth. Then they have grown into vengeful adults due to their sordid upbringing. The female lead characters are peculiar and immature girls who are swift to give up their virginity. The plots in each book are filled with villainy and hateful acts that are described in such detail that at times, it was very uncomfortable to read. If you like dark romance then Jane Feather is the author for you. For me? No thanks!

Sylvester and Theo's story was a lot of fun to read. I really identified with the independent Theo, while rooting for Sylvester to win her over.

Blatant "Taming of the Shrew" rip-off. I didn't think the main characters had great chemistry. It was fairly one-dimensional, and had several annoying historical inaccuracies.

I enjoyed reading this one both times...never did figure out how the title was chosen, but it was a good regency romance with intriguing plot lines.

Very good. I really like the way the story is told.
