I was curious about her mother and what had happened to her father and you're kept wondering until the end. It was a surprise ending. She experiences many changes in the historical events going on around her and in her life. Very enjoyable and interesting history. A tale of many cultures that intertwine with one another. If you like the Dear America series you will like this as well.
