So I'm kind of switching up my usual genre, and have been reading a few vampire romances.  I've read quite a few Lynsay Sands books, and really liked them.  I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a few other good ones?  Thanks!  :)

you may want to also ask this over in the Paranormal forum.  just specify you're looking for vampire romance so you don't get a lot of non-romance suggestions.

some of my favorite vampire romance authors are J.R. Ward, Lynsay Sands, Sherrilyn Kenyon, and Jeaneine Frost.  Kresley Cole has some vampires, and is also very good.  Nalini Singh is excellent for paranormal romance, though no vampires.

i also found this thread where someone asked for vampire romance suggestions.

I just started Lynsay Sands' vampire books and for light/funny/romance I like hers(so far!), Kerrelyn Sparks, Kathy Love's Young Brothers(Fangs for the Memories, Fangs but no fangs, I only have fangs for you, my sister is a werewolf) Her newer series I liked ok but I didn't think they were nearly as light/funny as these and my fave of these 4 were the first 2.

also Erin McCarthy's vegas vamps were pretty good - one couple got on my nerves and oe heroine I plain didn't like but overall light/funny books

Read Colleen Gleason's Gardella Vampire Chronicles. (These are actually about a vampire huntress, but they are very good.)

All Ellen's recomendations are terrific!  Also if you like Lyndsay Sands, try Katie Macalister's Vampire books, she writes similar to Sands.

Christine Feehan has a series about Carpathians (live off blood and are immortal) but the vampires in her book are males who could not find their mates and went insane. But the Carpathians are basically what vampires are in most other vamp romances.

Then there's the Sookie Stackhouse books which aren't technically romance. But they are very good and Sookie gets it on with a couple of vamps (and a weretiger).

Ok I know this is a no brainer but  The Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer is awsome!!  I usually don't read that kind of books but after watching the movie( I fell in love with by the way) I wanted to read the books because they are always better and I couldn't wait for New Moon to come out in theaters.

Oh yeah I have never paid full price for a book I usually get them from ebay or yard sales but these were so good I paied $14 for Eclipse and $18 for Breaking Dawn (luckily I got Twilight and New Moon off here)

I would have to say that one of my favorite vampire authors is Anne Rice. But you probably know this already. Also Richelle Mead is a good author on the subject.

Shiloh Walker's Hunters series is excellent- has lots of vamps with shifters and witches too.

I also enjoy the Lyndsay Sands Argeneau Series.  They are funny and entertaining.  But for more serious vampire love stories with intense love scenes, I don't think you can beat JR Wards the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series.   My favorite being Lover Awakened in that series.  Hope this helps.

I am reading Sookie Stackhouse (waiting for Bk 3), the Anita Blake series, on Bk 1, and Patiricia Briggs, on Bk 1.  All three are so good.

I'm going to agree with Carol. I just started book 2 in the Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series and am loving it so far. Be warned, it's pretty light on the romance, though. Also, Gena Showalter's Atlantis series has vampires, among several other mythical creatures like dragons and nymphs, and I really enjoyed all of them. Edit: After seeing your postscript pictures, I thought I'd add that Briggs is the rare supernatural author who doesn't shy away from talk about religion. Mercy goes to church every Sunday, wears a Lamb of God necklace (which comes in handy against vampires, lol) and doesn't like to take the Lord's name in vain.
