This is my first time to read this author, and I was very pleased. I found the book to be most well-written, and entertaining.

The setting is 13th century England, a personal favorite, and has a cast of quite interesting characters, and events. It held my interest from first page to last.

I will go back and read the first book in the trilogy. This is the second in the series.
