Way-way into the future Thurston finds a caste society with Mechwarriors at the top. This is the first of three volumes and tells the tale of The Jade Falcon Clan and what it takes to become a recognized warrior. Sort of boring until half way through when the action picks up. Those of you who are gamers will recognize the Mechs from the Mech Warriors video games. (I really liked the Dire Wolf with LRMs and a PPC.) I'm looking forward to Vol. 2- Thurston does action quite well.
