This is the first volume of the Matthews' indispensable overview of the Western Esoteric tradition. Volume 1 focuses on the native tradition, the foundations of Western spirituality in the Old Religion and nature magic. The authors provide good context, information and workable exercises for experiencing this tradition first-hand. This set would hands-down be one of my "desert island" books.
