I loved this book. It is a fictionalized account of true events that happened in Kentucky and Indiana during the Civil War. It has intrigue, a couple of love stories, lots of action and is well written. Anyone who likes novels of the Civil War should enjoy this book.

If you like the Civil War Era, an okay book. I thought the book lagged in a few spots. The characters are real, but there was no spark in the relationships. It did give some history of the Civil War, history that I was unaware of. Okay read, just slow in places.
