Ann Shorey writes a story that leaves you wanting more. This is the second in the Sister's of the Heart series and I really enjoyed it. You will meet many of the same characters and fall in love with totally new faces. I liked getting the different takes on a nurse. In that time period many people thought that a nurse was subjected to things she shouldn't be seeing. And I can see where they were coming from. They weren't used to it for sure. But at the same time, a female nurse often helped the situation for another female. I also liked the whole herbs and natural healing aspect. This is a well written book that is a nice read. Not really what I would call suspenseful but overall a nice read.

Good story by Ann Shorey about self reliance, love and forgiveness. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading the third book in the series. Highly recommended!
