This is a fantastic book, one of the best romances I've read in a long time. It reads so smoothly that the words practically fly off of the page to become devoured by your hungry eyes and mind.
The hero is bold and courageous, a cop who quits his job prematurely and then finds his hands full with a wider assortment of animals and problems than he'd ever thought possible to fill his relatively ordinary life. The heroine is just as bold, almost as brave, and absolutely determined to do whatever it takes to save the animals who are her family. The animals themselves are true delights to read, from the bear who will only take the guy's orders, even when the guy would prefer to be anywhere but near the bear, to the raccoon, who, though one of the minor characters in the book, has some really cute scenes!
I've heard many books before whose readers declare that they possess the ability to make you laugh, cry, smile, cry some more, and keep you on the edge of your seat, but rarely have I found one that lives up to that promise. This one does in spades!!
In short, this is a truly fantastic book that I would recommend to not only romance lovers but even to animal lovers who don't normally read romances! On a scale of 1 to 10, this one's a 20! Simply FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

Nick Montgomery was a cop, not an animal trainer. At least, not until he quit his job on the promise of an inheritance and found out he owned half of Wild Action, an animal talent agency.
The other half belonged to Carly Dumont, his dead uncle's protegee, and a very attractive one at that. Of course, Nick told himself he wasn't interested. All he wanted was to put Wild Action in the black and sell his share so he could go back to his real life-even if that meant solving the mystery behind the series of "accidents" plaguing the agency.
But that was before Attila the bear fell in love with him and refused to behave for anyone else. It was also before he fell in love with Carly, who didn't behave for anyone!
