sequel to "I Got You Babe" but you absolutely do not have to read that one first. Five years ago, Val Parker was enrolled in the police academy. After giving in to a night of passion with Alex DeMarco her superior officer and teacher, Val finds out that she has been dismissed based on Alex' reputation. Now, she is a private detective and finds Alex in a very compromising position and worse, accused of murder. They end up on the run together and Graves is able to delve into each of their pasts to explain the reasons why they have such strong reactions to each other. I enjoyed this book!
