Fifth in the Lloyd & Hill British police procedural series. Yet another excellently-plotted mystery--though I had a spark of intuition about who the baddie was, I didn't know how or why til the end. I don't think I enjoyed this quite as much as the last one, and am not quite sure why, but still a very enjoyable entry in the series.
Jill McGown at her best. Reporter Melissa Whitworth decides to run a series on women whose men are married. She advertises for candidates and who should show up but the woman whose other man turns out to be Melissa's husband. A few hours after the interview, she is murdered. Enter Chief Inspector Lloyd and his former partner Judy Hill.
