Don't worry about it.  Sometimes I post my thoughts and don't even go back to look and see if anyone has responded.  This is entertainment for me and I am not going to get upset or offended.

I'm not worried about it.  I just was a little taken back!

Jennifer, how did you like Split Ends?  I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite by Kristen Billerbeck. I've just started Trophy Wives Club.

Shannon- I try to stay out of that forum for many reasons ;).

I'm not Jennifer but I didn't like Split Ends as well as some of her other books.  It was good but seemed slow or off some how in the beginning

Wow, there ARE Christians on PBS!

LOL, I was wondering sometime.

If you think about all the non- Christians here it's SCARY.

Michelle, let us know how you liked Trophy Wives Club! It's on my wish list because it sounded good, but it would be nice to get someone's opinion.

Yes, I believe there are more Christians on here than we know. A lot of them just don't post much. I check out the avatars and blinkies, and I see a lot of Christian ones.

Connie, I can't get over how many people are rude about  beliefs. That is what gets me. A woman posted something about a movie on CMT and it's been edited since but it had something about  it being marketed for Christmas when it was anti-God. I wrote something (not seeing the preview) about it not being good to market something falsely. Some of the responses appeared to be trying to initiate a hate war so I just am leaving it alone.(Some were just trying to educate me on the movie, not being mean)  Geez! I wasn't making a sermon...just a comment.

I think sometimes tolerance only extends to those who express the same beliefs as you.  Not you, Shannon, but you as in some who post on CMT.  Apparently, it's not okay to not want to watch a movie because you feel the message is anti-God.  Because then, of course, you're a right wing nut who's trying to control the world.

I don't want to post in that thread you mentioned, because I don't really like the tone of CMT, but I think it's kind of a strange assumption to say that if you don't want to watch (or have your children watch) that movie, it's because you don't think your God is strong enough.  I don't think it has anything to do with that.  IMO, it has more to do with the fact that as Christians, you want to seek after things that are of Christ, and that lift you up.  A movie that promotes any type of anti-God message doesn't do that, at least for me.

That being said, I understand it's fictitious, and fantasy (and I like a lot of fantasy), but I read the first book, and thought it sucked anyway, regardless of what the message was.

Yeah, any hint of Christianity or difference in opinion can cause quite a stir!  That's for almost all topics on CMT.

I think it's kind of a strange assumption to say that if you don't want to watch (or have your children watch) that movie, it's because you don't think your God is strong enough.

I noticed that comment too. It's kindof like "If you are truly the son of man come down from the cross" or something like that.  Not falling for it!

I'm a Christian and I am cleaning house! Mi sister moved across the country to go to a ministry school and left behind all kinds of weird books! and in exchange I get books I would actually read. :)

Good to see you here, Patricia!  Sometimes I wonder why everyone complains about the overwhelming majority of Christians in this country.  It's not that I'm doubting it, but I don't see it in any part of my life, so I'm glad to see friendly Christian friends where I can. :)

I'm here too, although I don't check in on this board often enough...I think I may start migrating over here from CMT though...we don't seem to be too popular over there.
