I really enjoyed this book. It was about a psychic intuitive who has her own business "reading" for her clients. She gets involved in a murder case as she helps a Detective that she meets on a blind date from an online dating service. He is not a believer, but soon has to agree that she might "have something", he's just not sure if she has an insight to the killer or knows him personally. Loved the characters and can't wait to read more of this series. If you like mysteries with a little bit of romance thrown in, this one is for you.
Book #3 in Series. Brandon and Sophie's story. He is a dog trainer at Hope's Crossing Kennel. She is an accountant and she has been in love with Brandon since High School. When she is put in danger and needs protection, Brandon and his dog, Haydn, make it their mission to protect her. Great Series, loved all of them. I will be looking for more books by Piper Drake.
Lark Delaney's sister gave up her daughter when she was just a teenager to be adopted. On her deathbed she made her sister promise to find her and make sure she was in a good home. She is pointed to Raines Investigations by a good friend who is sure Devlin Raines can find the little girl. There is an instant attraction between Lark and Dev which he is determined to ignore, he doesn't mix business and pleasure, and never with clients. Finding the child turns out to be harder than they thought, and more dangerous in the long run. Good story, two parts: saving the child then finding her again after she is taken by cartel members. 5 stars
Marla Jean Bandy might be down, but she's not out. Her ex-husband left her for another woman, a librarian who is 20 years her senior. She is not ready for Mr. Right, but why not have a little fun. Her only problem is her childhood crush, Jake Jacobson. Jake doesn't want forever, and he feels he should protect his best friend's little sister from all the bad boys who are lining up to give her a good time. She needs a man to make her believe that love can last, and for once in his life, Jake wonders if that could be him. A cute funny romp, with lots of good ole country charm. Loved this one and will be looking for more from this author.
HW Morgan has finally made it to the National Rodeo finals, but he is not able to hold on for 8 seconds. Deciding he is done and discouraged he heads home to family ranch. He is not sure his twin brother and family will welcome him.
Samantha Kelley is asked by a friend to go to a new dude ranch and be a "trial" guest for one month. The Army vet is just barely back on her feet from a life altering injury. She isn't sure this is such a good idea, especially when she has to deal with a brash instructor, HW.
Both of these two characters have their own internal battles, but they learn to tolerate each other. Its a very interesting story, enjoyed it and will be looking for more from this author.
Missy Roper's fantasies revolve around the very handsome and yummy Graham Winters. She is a kindergarten teacher and he is a bar owner/werewolf who is searching for his "mate". When he bumps into Missy at his best friends engagement party, he is instantly attracted to her. This is a fun romp with her being the pursued and not believing a word that comes out of his inviting mouth. Full of humor and interesting characters, I
loved this one.
Not my favorite. I don't like it when authors make the female lead seem to be bubble headed, and this is just what I found with this book. Maybe I have read too many good Vampire books. Of course there is a dark brooding Master Vampire. Lots of interesting characters, but just not enough intelligence on the Heroine's part for me. It was an OK read.
Luca Ambrus is a rare vampire, he was blood born. Both of his parents were "newbies", newly made vampires. Chloe Fallon is a conduit who can channel a warrior into the mortal world to fight the rebel vampires. When Luca saves her life, an irresistible bond of trust, along with more passionate feelings, is awakened between them. When more victims fall, Chloe and Luca have only each other to depend on to save the world.
Lots of very interesting characters and intrigue is present when they try to find out exactly who the vampire is that's in charge of this rebellion. Loved it, can't wait to read the next book in this series.
This is the 3rd book in The Searchers series and follows the third sister, Holly. The story is very heart wrenching, but also contains a love interest that she didn't expect. I loved all three of the "Searcher" books. This is extremely well written and keeps the reader interested from start to finish. Sharon Sala is a wonderful storyteller.
I loved this story of Danielle Dupree and her first love, bad boy Jack Callahan. This is a true love story, and the turmoils of each ones past is greatly explored. I love this author and hope to finish this series.
I LOVE THIS BOOK! Bobbie Faye Sumrall is a walking disaster area. Anything that could go wrong always does.
Its a fast moving and very funny book. Bobbie Faye is mouthy, reckless and loyal to her no good family. She has inherited the title of Contraband Queen from her mother and is expected to be in the parade wearing her tiara, but the people who have kidnapped her brother want that tiara as ransom for him. Its a chase through the swamps running from bad guys, chased by the cops, and other people who also want that tiara. Very good quick read. Loved it!
Blue Perez Cavanaugh has just learned that the person he so much had bonded with "online" is a fraud. He is enraged. When he is sitting at the Bull's Eye Bar drinking himself into a stuper, the waitress Emily Shriver decides to help him home so he won't kill himself trying to drive drunk. With his emotions out of control, and her instant attraction to Blue, their actions on that fated night will change their future's forever. Loved this series about the Cavanaugh brothers. Great sexy stories.
Josie Barrett is an "animal" doctor and today she is faced with an interesting problem. Eli Pace the local sheriff brings an injured wolf to her, well it is a werewolf and she has been shot. An interesting thing is that she hasn't shifted to her human form, and Eli is concerned. Did I mention that Eli is
also a shifter, a werelion! One of the many Others who live in this small community. Within hours, a mystery is taking over the lives of all the Others in this small town, and Josie & Eli are in the middle of it. Great story, it a "can't put it down" type of book.
The Cavanaugh Brothers, Deacon, Cole & James, return to the
Triple C Ranch when their father dies. Soon after the funeral they discover he had lived a double life and the result is a son named Blue. Loved these hunky cowboys.
Cole Cavanaugh is a UFC champion fighter, and part owner of the Triple C Ranch. He and his brothers are estranged from the ranch and his now deceased father. He fights to kill the memories of the sister who was murdered a decade ago. Will winning the next championship give him the absolution he seeks? Great character, as with all of the Cavanaugh Brothers. Great Series
James Cavanaugh has traveled the world as a renowned horse whisperer, but even the millions he has earned haven't healed the anguish the death of his sister, Cass, has caused him and his brothers. Returning to the Triple C to attend his father's funeral is the hardest thing he has had to endure for a long time. Sheridan O'Neil is his brothers assistant and she has come to River Black to assist her boss while he dismantles his fathers ranch, that is the plan anyway. Soon she will have to deal with his brother James. Great Series, love these cowboys!
Another great Susan Anderson story. Macy O'James is a flashy gal when she wants to project an air of unconcern. Underneath she is just a small town girl with an unwarrented "bad" reputation. Fire Chief Gabe Donovan has an instant and unwanted attraction to her from the moment he lays eyes on her. She likes to play with "fire" when it comes to Gabe, but tends to keep him at arms length. I loved the tension that these characters produced and the story has several levels which make it interesting. Good read!
