Alex Cross was a rising star of the Washington, DC, police department when an unknown shooter gunned down his wife, Maria, in front of him. Alex's need for vengence was placed on hold as he faced another huge challenge -- raising his children without their mother.

This is one of the best Alex Cross books! Couldn't put it down; wanted to keep reading until finished.

As always, David Baldacci has a winner in this book. The story is great and fast paced. It is a "can't put down" book. If you've read and enjoyed the other "Camel Club" books, you'll really like this one.

John Hart's debut novel was far from the reviews on the dust jacket. I found it to drag in many part. I enjoy fast paced books, which this is not. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and read another in hope he improves with age. The story was good, but it just was slow.

I have never read anything about the Spanish royalty. This is a very informative novel. Although it is a novel most of the book is based on fact. This is the second book I've read by this author and highly recommend his books to anyone interested in history.
