This book was okay, nothing spectacular. One of my friends suggested i read it and said it was hilarious. It's not something i would recommend someone HAS to read though. It's entertaining enough if you have nothing else to read. It's a quick read too, if it wasn't I definately wouldn't have bothered finishing it.

i had to force myself to finish this book. i had heard great things about it and kept hoping it would get better. parts of it i liked but overall its not a book i would ever recommend to someone. after i read it i lent it to two of my friends who were interested in reading it too. they both loved it though. maybe its just not for everyone. once i get it back its getting posted to swap.

I would definately recommend this book. Once I started it I didnt want to put it down. It definately draws your attention right from the beginning. The author has such a way of writing that you begin to feel a connection to the characters. I hope the author comes out with more books because she's a wonderful writer.

After I read "First They Killed My Father", and found out that the author had written another book I knew I had to read it. I felt that this was a good book, but that the other one was much more interesting to read.

I wasnt sure if I was going to enjoy this book because it started off slowly but once I got into it I was able to enjoy it. As I was reading it I had an idea what was going to happen so I wasn't totally surprised at the turn of events. This authors' other novel, Speak Softly She Can Hear, is much more enjoyable though.

I actually saw the movie before I got a chance to read the book. The story itself is very touching. The book itself is a good read if you can get past the way its written, which is in first person narrative. The main character is illiterate which makes the writing a little annoying to read. I was tempted to just give it up but it was a quick read and I was able to eventually ignore the way it was written.

I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down and finished it in two days. I just had to know what was going to happen. The characters are easy to relate to and seem like they could be someone you know. Can't wait to read the other books by this author.
