My children age 10 & 12 loved this book. The author writes a wonderful engaging story based on Genesis. She explains the this is how it could have happened. I teach my children both creation and evolution theories though I believe in the Bible's account. I understand this is a belief just as the theory of evolution/big bang is a belief that it all happened by accident. We are all free to believe in a creator or not and who that creator is. Too bad some children never get to hear the story how God created the world and how much he loves us.

I enjoyed reading this book so much evan though it is a wartime tragedy. The story is cleverly written with great characters that you feel like are real by the time you are halfway through the book.

What a sweet love story! What makes this story even more interesting is that the book takes place during WWII in Seattle. You get a glimpse of what is was like to be Japanese in America during that time period as a wonderful ficticious story comes to life.

I found this story to be an interesting quick read. Like most Picoult is it unique in story line and I would recommend. I enjoyed reading Keeping Faith more than My Sister's Keeper only because MSK was such a difficult topic (MSK was was more emotional to me - you might like that more but not me). Plain Truth is my favorite Picoult book so far. Nineteen Minutes was very interesting to me as well though a horrible topic that no one likes to think about. Keeping Faith feels lighter to me. In that way, it makes it a more enjoyable read.

I loved these stories as a child and my daughter loves them as well. She read them all when 9/10 years old. I think the first time I read her Little House in the Big Woods, she was 6. She says to rate them all a 5!

This is a well written book that both teachers and students both love. It is perfect complement to the study of early colonial history. My 10 year old daughter loved this book and the other 2 books that follow this book (this book is the first of a three book seriers). All are wonderful!

One of the top books to read if you are considering home schooling your children, know you are going to home school, or do home school. Great detailed information for all grades. I have been home schooling now for 5 years and this is my book that I go to over and over again.
