I loved this because I believed it enriched my compassion. Very well done - made me a witness to the struggle of mental illness. I don't think I'll ever hear about people who have this in their lives and feel the same as I did. That is the best goal for a story and a great reason to read or listen.

OK - You can call me sentimental or silly but I loved this story. I So like to have my good guys be good guys and my bad guys be bad guys. Now this story has the people of faith stay true and actually win over some of the bad guys! For me this was a winner!

This is a charming little story. The illustrations are fantastically done by Michael Hague. There is a special beauty in the ordinary if you will look for it. The Cabbage Moth and the Shamrock are very ordinary but wonderful and beautiful at the same time. Not everyone notices this. You will after enjoying this little jewel of a book.

Personally I am a dog lover. Still this was a great follow-up book to the one about Dewey. Because of Dewey, Vicki became a keeper of many more stories. I do believe domestic animals enrich the lives of the people who love and care for them. I also believe we can learn valuable lessons from these relationships. It's my opinion that Vicki sees and expresses these lessons wonderfully through these stories. What is the purpose of sharing a story if not to enrich the lives of the listeners? Thank you Vicki!

Its fiction, but I think fiction that deals at least somewhat with current issues is good fiction. We are horribly polarized in this country. I would like it to stop. This book does touch on the need to really listen. Unfortunately, listening seems to be a lost skill. To much shouting going on.

I would put Finding Me by Michelle Knight on a level with Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. First they are both first hand accounts. Frankl was a jewish psychologist caught up in homicidal madness of Hitler's rise to power. Michelle was caught up in another evil beyond her control. Both survived but I feel Michelle contributed more to her own survival, where Frankl had those little twists of fate save him. Something I noticed was the clinging to good memories, for Frankl it was his wife, for Michelle it was her son. These memories were vital for each of them in keeping, the will to live, alive. In Frankls case his wife was long dead and he had to find new meaning to carry on. Michelles son is still out there and that is still a hope for her. However her self-less love continues as she finds meaning in being a voice for all the still missing. Personally I hope I will never talk myself into dismissing my gut feelings about somebody I feel is weird or off. I hope I investigate as far as I can while still feeling safe. If the gut feelings persists I want the courage to risk being wrong and make that call to the police. Let Michelle's voice grow ever stronger! I was listening and so should everybody.

History with heart and warmth. Cokie did a great job breathing life into her subject. History can be dry with facts and dates. Without factionalizing these people of the past came alive for me. Cokie's narration is done with humor and passion. I learned alot and was entertained at the same time. Well Done!

I like the love a logic approach and have listened to several of their books. This entitlement issue seemes daunting. I believe they did a very good job of addressing the problem. The only criticism I have is with this audio performance. It came off strident. Perhaps they were looking for passion and conviction but it came off demanding and argumentative. Not the loving we have help for you tone that would have been better.

That nagging suspicion that what happened in the past is not what it seemed to be and now the Truth can turn your world upside down. Ellen has a dilemma: Search for the Truth even if it cost you the most precious relationship you got, your adopted child, or look the other way. Of course she wouldn't make much of a protagonist if she didn't risk everything to know the Truth! I enjoyed the story and Mary Stuart Masterson's narration was excellent. Morphing her voice to do the different characters and accents.

It's been a long time since I listened to this book. It did take me aback. I thought the death penalty was only enforced in absolute cases. Like ironclad forensic proof or absolute uncontestable eye witness proof. This story was shocking to me. I now feel less inclined to support the death penalty if this sort of thing happens. There were shadows of a doubt in this case. My one consolation is my faith that, God will let no injustice stand. This world will not be the end all be all.

There are different ways of seeing, knowing, describing and understanding. What a wonderful way to introduce young children to these ideas. A great read aloud book with beautiful illustrations.

An excellent "Who done it?". Your protagonist is set up, he is in plenty of trouble. Who set him up, and who is the guilty party. There are plenty of twists and turns in this story. I like the morality play angle this story takes. Compromising your ethics can lead you where you don't want to go. I felt more invested with the protagonist and his journey to find the truly guilty and clear himself.

This is an amazing story told by the person it actually happened to. Hearing her voice recount the events and the history that lead her through those moments in her life was riveting. There is a verse about God choosing foolish things to confound the wise. This is a good example, no one could have predicted this, but it happened. My favorite books encourage me in my faith, and this story does that. My advise, read it or listen to it and be encouraged. Choices make our lives the trick is to make the ones God wants us to. Ashley keep making godly choices and I'll try to do the same.
