2nd in the series of Commissioner Brunetti. When a young American man is found floating dead in one of the Venice canals, Guido Brunetti is on the case again. Like the first in the series, this is a great read. Leon is such a comfortable author. After reading her first book, you just fall back into the place, the people and feel right at home. It helped to have a larger map of Venice nearby. Wonderful author, great read!

At first it was cute, light and entertaining then it got too laborious. I wanted it to conclude. Maybe at a different time, I might have enjoyed it more.

I have enjoyed White's novels, but this one,not so much. It was painfully slow. it just seemed to go on and on with extraneous information. The characters were complex and deeply flawed. As improbable as the outcome was, you kind of figured it out pretty early into the story. The past and present were intertwined throughout the story and at times seemed to clutter the flow. This was my least favorite White novel.Since I like the author I wish I could be more complimentary.

"Fly Away" connects to "Firefly Lane" as it returns to the characters from that novel but it also stands alone as a wonderful read.
FLY AWAY is the story of three women in the before and after Kate's death. The story is largely about Tully, Tully's mother Dorothy, and Kate's daughter, Marah. Each is lost. The story is grounded in friendship, hope for the future, enduring love and the reaffirmation of forgiveness. It's great. Another heartwarming story by Kristin Hannah.

I loved this book. The characters were so real and each one touched you. I could not put it down. The descriptions were phenomenal and you found yourself able to imagine with great clarity what was happening. I pulled for Jolene right along with her.
