This book will touch your heart! The theme,(teens/kids with cancer)can be a little depressing and too deep for younger kids. There is some colorful language throughout the book, including one use of the F word. While there is one sex scene, it is brief and not too descriptive. There is also the death of a significant character, a concept some kids might be uncomfortable with. On the other hand, this book teaches that love comes in all shapes and sizes and raises awareness for kids with cancer. Overall, I recommend this book to teens and tweens.

This book is really good! This book would be good for both pleasure reading and educational purposes. Flush is another book from Hiaasen that focuses on environmental issues and conservation. It is better for tweens, as it has a bit of colorful language, a parent in jail, and the issue of divorce. Overall, it's a good book!

This book is a whole new world of fantasy! Eoin Colfer had created a world in the past with mythical creatures in it. This book is very good for ages 9 and higher. Remember this is just a guess. If you are not sure about it read a few pages and see what you think about the book. This book would fit in the sci-ti and fantasy genres. I hope this was a help to you.

This book is well written and raises awareness for Asperger's, a type of autism, and the tragedy of school shootings. In this book, the main character loses her brother in a school shooting. Since she has Asperger's, it is harder for her to move on from the death of her brother, someone who really cared for her and took care of her. This book is good for book clubs, but it may be a little mature for younger children because of the death of the main character's brother. Also, younger children may not understand some of Caitlin's, the main character, reactions to events in the book.

I love historical fiction but had never really read Biblical historical fiction very much. This book is very interesting in a number of ways. It has you look at the flood from Biblical times from a completely different perspective. It is also the story of a strong (yet different) and inspiring woman, Noah's wife. I will read all this author writes!
