A fast moving, violent and engrossing tale of a sci-fi/cyberpunk mystery. A specialist is brought back to earth from another world to solve a unique problem. FWIW, there is a blend of descriptive sex, language, violence, and some very different sci-fi themes and ideas. Great writing and well worth the read.

Not a bad start to the trilogy. A lot of character building and introductions to a large handful of players, that at the time you are not quite sure why or what they will accomplish. Well enough written to keep things moving along and gets steadily better as it progresses to the end. The story ramps up in book 2, so get this first one and start reading.

Wow...never again. A barely mediocre story of utterly boring magic that really goes nowhere. I had to struggle to finish it. (I have read about 440 books) I have no idea where the favorable reviews come from on this one. Written well? Well, I guess so...but so what.

Barely finished this one. A slow, political soap opera with some forced 'drama'. Would not have finished if I had not had some interest in the characters already.

A quick, intense read. I don't really rate S. Kings books very high on a personal enjoyment level, but this book is realllly an exception. The usual S. King foul language and so forth are in this book, but again the intensity and pace of the story is awesome. Also, dont let the crap Arnold movie stop you from reading it.

A different sci-fi book by the great A.D. Foster. Good pacing and other than expected world and characters.

Somewhat let down over a hyped book. Average overall story.
But, very well written and easy to read and does have some interesting concepts and ideas.
