Another fine entry in the Harry Bosch series. Harry is partnered with rookie Det. Lucy Soto on the cold case unit. When a victim dies from injuries he received years ago, Harry's cold case becomes hot again. I liked the partnership between Harry and Lucy and thought they complimented each other. There's just something about Harry that gets to me....
When PI Jackson Brodie is hired to find out what happened in three separate cold cases, he believes that he'll never find out what happened to these victims.
If you're looking for a fast-paced m/t, this isn't the book for you. But if you're looking for a beautifully written book, that's more about the people left behind, then you'll love it. I certainly did!
Ex-cop Lorraine Page is struggling to keep her detective agency afloat while dealing with her own personal demons, when she lands a big case that could really put her on the map. You can't help but pull for Lorraine to get herself together, although sometimes she's hard to like. I thought Cold Shoulder and Cold Blood were good, solid reads.
The second book in the "Closer to You" series continues the Jared and Aly love story. Jared must deal with his demons and face his past before he can move forward with his future. This is an emotional journey for Jared. I was immediately hooked and enjoyed the book, although I wanted to smack Jared at times. I'm really enjoying this new to me author and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.
