Not "The DaVinci Code", but filled with Vatican intrique, this is an exciting audiobook with a surprising ending. Read by Joe Mantegna, it is unabridged on 4 cassettes.

By the author of "Flags of our Fathers", this account of the WWII action on Chichi Jima is graphic and complete. Told by the grandson of one of it's survivors, it is read by the author, unabridged, on 9 cassettes over 14 hours. While it is shocking, it is a compelling example of why we owe so much to our greatest generation.

Typical of Steel's work, this is the story of a new widow and her family's struggle to survive the tragic change that is thrust upon them. A quick read on 4 cassettes over 7 hours, it is unabridged and read by Joseph Siravo.

Prime Stephen King short stories, read by various actors on 3 cassettes. Typically excellent King!

While Leonard isn't my cup of tea, this is an entertaining novel read by Robert Forster, who's delivery adds a lot to the audioplay. Especially enjoyable if you are familiar with SE Michigan geography.

Not a historical recounting, but an entertaining premise for a fiction about Poe and the improbable events surrounding his mysterious death.

Not a romance fan, I found this offering to have little romance but lots of entangling family drama with just a hint of Hollywood insider gossip to add interest. It is unabridged on 8 cassettes over 13.5 hours and read by J. R. Horne.
