This book is another episode in the life of Lee and Joe as they cope with murder in a small Michigan resort town. Characters are well drawn. Plot is well thought out, and, as always, the solution is a surprise. To me, Lee's malapropisms are somewhat distracting, but any mystery lover will enthusiastically latch onto this book.

This is a fast-paced well written book. The book provides a look into the world of stockcar racing -- both the mindset of participants and fans and some of the routines which racers employ. Not until the last page of the book are all aspects of the many plots resolved. This is a great well-written book.
