A great insight to the Amish as their methods of education. I don't have children nor am I involved in education, yet found this book to be very interesting. Well written.

An Alarming History of Famous and Difficult Patients: Amusing Medical Anecdotes from Typhoid Mary to FDR
Review Date: 4/5/2007

A fun read, although most of the cases seemed more like "an alarming history of bad doctors" than stories of bad patients. Or at least a mixture of both.

As a Klingon fan, I'm always eager to read more on Klingon culture. This book was not a disappointment in that regard, or even in any regard. I found some faults with the way I think Worf and Alexander would behave, but another reader might not. There are some great scenes with Cpt. Picard and Alexander. Overall, I enjoyed the story and would recommend this book.

He lived in the dark ages of the future. In a loveless world he dared to love the woman of his choice. In an age that had lost all trace of science and civilization he had the courage to seek and find knowledge. But these were not the crimes for which he would be hunted. He was marked for death because he had committed the unpardonable sin - he had stood forth from the mindless human heard. He was a man alone. Includes excerpts from documents by Ayn Rand in which she discusses this work, and an introduction by her heir, Leonard Peikoff.

From the cover: When Kent Ashford's stallion was stolen by a scrawny young ruffian, he grabbed the nearest horse he could find and took off after the brat. He had no idea, until he caught her, that the thief was a woman, and an uncommon beauty, at that. Which didn't mean that Kent relished being charged with horsetheft and thrown into a Tucson jail cell with the green-eyed hellion. But as long as they were confined together, he wouldn't pass up the chance to caress her surprisingly soft, silken flesh, run his fingers through her mane of sable-colored hair, and stifle all protest with a lingering kiss that would warm her right down to the tips of her suffed cowboy boots...

A fun romp through the antics behind and during the scenes of the campy cult classic 1960s television show 'Batman.' This is written by Adam "Batman" west himself, and includes candid photos and a complete episode guide. I loved this book and smiled (or laughed) through the entire book.
