It was pretty predictable and I wasn't really drawn into the story emotionally, but it was a good read overall.

"This is the last Scarpetta book that I read". I always say that after I finish the latest one, but I always read the next one. I'm always hoping that they will be as good as the first ones were.
It seems the latest books are just a little too unbelievable. Somehow all the primary characters are all somehow involved in the crimes. So many times the criminal is out to get Scarpetta, or Wesley, or Lucy. It's just a little too much.

I found this book to be a really quick read and enjoyable. Life through the eyes of a 12 yr old girl, which if I would not have thought that I would enjoy. It really held my attention though.

I guess this book is just not my cup of tea. I've only read about half of it and I don't think that I'll finish it. It is very well written but i just can't connect with it or any characters. It skips back and forth in time and is I guess in some ways a fantasy. I can't even figure out where it takes place. I hardly ever don't finish a book, even if I don't like it, but I'm not sure about this one.
