WOW!!! This was a page turner to the end. Retired Profiler McCaleb is called upon to help with a case. Unfortunately, his profile leads to an old crony, Det Bosch, who is currently testifying in a big, Hollywood murder case. The twists and turns this book takes had me up all night--even after I peeked to see 'whodunit'. One of Connelly's best, in my opinion!!!
Anner Perry at her best. Why are 4 men found dead in the worst part of town, stabbed and mutilated? A Dr. and several Gentlemen--NOT the type that frequents the Devil's Acre, so aptly named. Thomas and Charotte Pitt, with the help of Charlotte's sister Emily, work to figure out why the bodies were there, and WHO killed them, with some wild twists and turns. Classic Pitt, Classic Perry
Classic Anne Perry. Thaddeus Carlyon, a brilliant military general is killed by falling over a stair railing, at a dinner party. His wife readily admits to it, but who did it, and why????? A page-turner to the end, as Rathbone, Monk and Ms. Latterly unveil the secrets in this well bred family.
Yet another winner from Evanovich!!! Poor Stephanie Plum--losing cars (I'm not sure how many got blown up in this book!!) and trying to deal with Morelli and Ranger...and then there's grandma, Kloughn and Valerie, and the neice who thinks she's a horse... This is another great chapter in the life of Stephanie Plum, catastrophe after catastrophe, laced with hilarious snippets. If you like Plum, I HIGHLY recommend this one!
This is a very informative book about the vegetarian lifestyle. Throughout the book there is information about where to get foods, the best way to prepare them, and nutritional information. There are also MANY vegan recipes.
3 Deaths in Cochise County within 2 days, and Joanna Brady is working hard. The story deals with 'a mostrous obesession bried in the frightening shadows of the past.' That is taken from teh back cover, and I couldn't have worded it any better myself. A Shocking tale of murder(s) to KEEP the skeletons in the closet. (And they are nasty skeletons!!!)
A great book for gr k-2. Starts with relationships (choose what does NOT belong, and which ones are related) and ends (lesson 37) with cutting out 8 pictures and putting them into an analogy (big drum: small drum::big boot: small boot). It does require parent/teacher assistance, but the problems are clear and my daughter moved through them very well. (this was a duplicate book--it has not been used!!)
This is a great craft book for kids. The crafts include jewelry boxes, trinket boxes, some origami, and a tissue box. The children work with clay, paints, varnish, decoupage, glitter, felt, wire, a variety of paper, fabric and oven bake clay. We really enjoyed this book.
This is a great book! It walks the student through the beginning stages of logic. It starts with sequencing (8 lessons) then works on relationships (8 lessons), there are 8 lessons on analogies, pattern decoding, inference and critical analyzing skills. Parent/teacher involvement is necessary, to help the child understand what to do, but the problems themselves are very clear.
This is a precious book of photos of ladies and new babies. The pictures are beautiful. This is a little different for Anne Geddes, as it's not just babies in flowerpots, but I think it is a beautiful depiction of newborn babies and motherhood.
These are great first readers. They are phonics based, and the reader and their family are the center of most of the stories. There is a place for them to write their name or mommy, daddy, or that of a sibling. It helps them to recognize simple words, plus those important to the family. We LOVED them!!
This is one of Anne Perry's best. A 3 yr old murder investigation is re-opened, and Thomas & Charlotte Pitt are on the move!!! The victim was a member of parliament, and the goal is to keep things smooth but WHOA!!!!!! What a SHOCKING ending!!!!! Charlotte and sister Emily go deep undercover to investigate and come to this startling conclusion.
This was an excellent book! The only problem was....It was too long to finish in one night! In Thin Dark Line, Tami Hoag draws the reader into a horrible crime spree with so many suspects and weirdos and ends with a couple of Bizarre twists! This one is a page turner, one of Hoag's best!
