This is a great book. It is full of meaningful action and people who struggle against terible odds.

The photos are amazing and the stories are fascinating. Although you may have to explain or gloss over some of the more "adult" subjects, my 9 and 11 years old kids love these books.

This is a top-notch book. It is physically high quality with great photos and stories. My 9 and 12 year old girl and boy love these books and so do their parents.

All of Octavia Butler's books include very unique characters. She is genuinely fresh and creative. I am about halfway thru this novel and am enjoying it immensely.
