A great read for those who like to think back to the time when ships headed out for sea and were never sure when they would run into dry land again, without the ability to accurately predict where in the world they were east to west. Finally made me understand why they call degrees of longitude "minutes" and "seconds".

A chilling story of the generations of harm done by incest. It drove a woman to murder her children in an ultimate plea for love and attention.

A well-written, insightful book, retelling the story of Chicago May, "The Queen of the Underworld." Authentically recounts the Irish immigrant's experience surviving on the streets of the new world.

Highly informative and a quick read, gives a good background of the work of an ME and makes a strong case for better conditions within the industry. Not too gory for those with weak constitutions.
