A Robert Parker standard. Excellent characters and interesting plot. Three generations linked by crime and punishment - cops and heroes, fathers, sons and lovers united at last my revelations that could bring a family to its knees.

Red Rain is about a cool maverick cop hero who mixes blood and attitude in taut, adrenaline-fueled prose. A protagonist who is interesting and a very good read.

This book is very shallow, childishly written and and far cry from the Kathy Reichs books you are used to reading. Absolutely mindless, but okay on a beach.

An entertaining read. "The author of the bestselling Spenser novels introduces a heroine unlike any other - private eye Sunny Randall. She is street smart, sexy and suddenly thrown into a Boston mob war where high stakes politics and low-down killers conspire to make Sunny's first case her last..."

"Someone's making death threats in Dixie - against a Thoroughbred horse destined to be the next Secretariat. At the owner's request, Boston P.I. Spenser hoofs it down south - where the lies are buzzing and the dying is easy." A great read!

"Stocked with fascinatingly creepy characters, Coben's keeps-you-guessing mystery is terrifying. The tension does not build slowly, it snaps and crackles right from the get go... The only plausible reason for setting down this book is to make sure that your front door is locked and double-bolted." Torn cover is the way the book was sold to show the title. It is done by design.

"A very powerful book that helps readers to begin to confront the internal barriers holding them from their own potential enjoyment of alternative forms of sensual expression and self-realization".

Excellent! "With his wife, Evie, scheduled for surgery the next morning, Dr. Harry Corbett goes to the hospital for what he hopes will be a quiet evening of reconciliation... only to find his wife shockingly, inexplicably dead. The police suspect homicide and their only suspect is Dr. Harry Corbett". Another wonderful Palmer story line.

Another terrific Spenser novel. "Heady and sardonic, with an unpredictable cast of lovers, liars, killers and clowns, Walking Shadow entertains even as it ponders the instability of identities. It is a thoroughly engrossing performance by a classic talent.?
