We hit our Book Credits goal!
We hit our PBS Money goal!
Central Charter School is a community-based school that serves the students in grades kindergarten through 8th. We are a Title I school that serves 100% of free and reduced lunch, and 25% of our students are English Language Learners. Currently, we serve a total of 1,112 students, striving to provide an enriched, innovative educational program.
Central Charter is one of Broward County’s first charter schools, with a mission to provide academic and social programs for at-risk students in the communities. As we strive for excellence, there are some challenges that present themselves such as a majority of our families having a low income. We continue to fundraise to obtain the funds that we can for the resources that are needed. Our parents and students are encouraged to go to local libraries and use resources and books there and that are on the Internet.
Our goal is to have a library one day and be able to have activities such as reading challenges, where students compete to read the most amount of books. Our dedicated administration, faculty, and staff continue to ensure that our students receive an effective, well-rounded education.
We would like to thank you for considering Central Charter School, and would love to be a part of your book program!
Thank You,
Erica Crawford
