The Mountain Midwife is well written with characters you can identify with. They are well developed, spiritually sound although they battle with their emotions in their decision making. By the end of the book, they resolve their problems as much as they can be resolved. The book has several twists which keeps it moving. Also the author shows the conflict of desires while trying to follow God. I enjoy this author and will continue to buy her books for our church library.
