Do you really need another review to convince you to read more of this series? This is book 3, and you should read one and two. I dont think you could understand some of the characters unless you did. There are many cozies out there, they tend to be similar. I think this one is unique enough to make you want to read book 3 and then 4.
I think what I liked most is that the romance, ok call it what it was SEX, was written how I like it. I dont need each play by play, each lick, each hand placed whereever. I liked how she summed up the event after some mild teasing, with the words. ALL night long. So she doesnt muck up her mystery with graphic sex. Now if you are a true cozy reader the word multiple orgasm which she uses. would be offensive.
I like that the heroine designs fun shoes. It isnt all about shoes really, but just enough. There is this one character Felix who is scum, he is the tabloid writer who has been a pain in her back side in other books. In this book she describes him as looking like HUGH GRANT, wow I had pictured him old bald and fat. All the past characters get their time in the sun, in a way that makes you love them more, esp Felix, and Maddie's mom.
The setting of a television studio grounds, made this book even more fun. The writer has a great sense of humor about how starlets, and actors and hollywood work.
