This is one of the best new authors I've read in a long time. I wasn't too sure when I started reading this trilogy - but by the time I got into this last book I was convinced. He writes so that the story flows easily, and the words are descriptive without being intrusive into the story. I didn't have to work on staying interested at all. It was one of the books that I wanted to read at one sitting - 455 pages. It didn't take long. I did know what the ending would be - but it didn't matter because it was told well. I'm not sure that he will return to this world - but as with most SF and fantasy writers - there's the opportunity there if he decides to do so. I will say that this last book was a bit heavier with the graphically described violence than I usually read - but I think more men readers will appreciate this.
