Kate Rydell has been working dead end jobs and living off the grid in order to avoid a group of terrorists that work for the CIA and want her dead. While working as a hotel maid, she witnesses a gangland slaying. Kate quickly goes on the run. Now the police want to question her, the gang wants to keep her quiet, and the terrorists are back on her trail. Detective Vince Yarrow is desperate to talk to Kate. The man who was killed was a close friend. Vince knows that Kate saw the murder, but he can't figure out why she won't tell him everything she saw.

This is a category romance in the Harlequin Blaze line and another good story from Jo Leigh. I liked both Vince and Kate. I kept hoping she would confide in Vince about what she saw and why she is running. Kate knew that if she told Vince the truth, it would put him in the line of fire. This book is part of a mini-series. I plan on reading the other books in the series soon. My rating: 4 Stars.
