When the Tiberius Group took control of the US Government, women were stripped of their rights. They no longer were able to work, total control given to father, husband or brother. If they were not married then they were forced to be auctioned off to any male who would pay for them. If no one would bid on them they would be hauled off to a slave labor camp.

The Miner's Wife
Hannah has been sold into slavery because her ex-husband has to pay off gambling debts. She is shipped off to Thorium-Z to become a miner's temporary wife.

Brutal (Thomas) needs sex and decides that a temporary wife should do the trick. He bids on Hannah hoping she will make things easy on him. Once he gets to know her he wants more then temporary. He might be a rough miner but he is also very caring and protective.

The Executive's Wife
Sophie is being auctioned off at the place where she used to work. Mathew is Sophie's former boss who pays $100,000 to make Sophie his wife. Both have been attracted to each other and Sophie is happy to become Matthew's permanet wife. Matthew's father is against this marriage and will do just about anything to break them up . Matthew and Sophie have to fight several enemies to finally find happiness.

The Lawman's Wife
Grace has been living with her cousin,pretending to be married to him so she won't be auctioned off. She has a daughter who could be taken from her. Her cousin turns her into the Tiberius Group and Grace ends up on the auction block. The problem is that no one is bidding on her and she faces the slave labor camp. Jonathan is a lawman who recognizes Grace as the woman he once shared a kiss with in an elevator. He buys her planning to find her a good husband. Since he cannot fight his own attraction to her he ends up keeping her and plans to adopt her child. An enemy from Grace's past is trying to eliminate Grace and her child.

All three stories were warm hearted and romantic. The suspense and intrique was a nice added touch. The men were all caring, trying to make the best of a bad situation and giving the woman as much freedom they possible could
